Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Don't see the point in this match up, the fist fight was pretty conclusive
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Like iv said earlier, a Kessler eematch will sell big regardless of whether Froch lost Ward again before hand.
While he is still relatively fresh, go for Ward before Kessler. Another Kessler fight will take its toll.
I think he and Kessler both have the beating of Ward but in their fights both let Ward hold and slow the pace. Only in the Froch fight where Ward started to tire did Froch startcoming in to it. If he started faster and more aggressive like he did against Bute, Ward would tire much earlier and although he looks tough in his fights, Ward is actually quite fragile. Look at the Bika fight. If the ref did his job, Ward would have ended up being disqualified for the amount of holding he did. Like Akinwande against Lewis.

Agreed, have no interest in this fight. Ward would win in dominant fashion.

Disagree there...
Froch became stronger as the fight went on, ward slowed. In front of his home fans will make a big difference too!
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Best opponent out there for Ward.
If Froch beats Mack, Bute and Kessler he has done more than enough to earn another shot at Ward.
Considering some of the opponents certain champions defend against, to say he shouldn't get a shot because the first fight was won clearly by Ward is bollocks. Ok Froch is the more likely to get wear and tear on him in the next 12 months and Ward is younger so will b a huge favourite but as has already been mentioned Froch was starting to come on at the end of the fight shows it's possible Froch could fight different and win. Who knows what would have happened if it was a 15 round fight.
Froch v Ward 2? I'd welcome the fight in the UK or US.
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Froch starts quicker, the fights closer on the cards, but Ward still wins with a couple of round to spare.
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
I'd watch. Both have made statements after the fact and are the ones standing when the dust settled. That said, Ward isn't Bute and he surely is not Mack...who Froch should steamroll but cannot let himself get distracted looking ahead. I don't see the outcome being different but they don't shy away from a good fight.
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
The result would be the same, Wards as slippery as an eel and so hard to tag with multiple shots I would love Froch to do it and will be watching and hoping that Carl can, Andre is on the way up and Froch is peaking right now in twelve months who knows how Carl will be. :)
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
I don't blame any fighter for wanting to redeem himself, but i just wouldn't see too much point in a rematch here.
Froch has had a brilliant career, fought the best, won titles, proved himself a seriously hard b*stard, but he got found out technically by a fighter who's one of the best around pound-for-pound.
Assuming Carl gets Yusuf Mack out of the way, i'd like to see him face Kessler again if possible. There's a chance for redemption for him there, and i believe he'd win.
Given who Carl's fought, and how, we couldn't begrudge him wanting to end with a fight against the best, and the man who's beaten him most convincingly, but i don't think it'd be pretty, and i'm a believer that rematches should only be granted if there's any doubt about the result. For me, the first fight was too one-sided for this to appeal.
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Fighting in Nottingham would make a big difference to Froch, personally i
still think Ward would win, but it would be a closer fight than last time,
i wouldnt mind seeing this again.
Re: Froch wants Ward again !
Agreed Froch would fight better at Nottingham and Ward may not be a good travellor at all.
Froch has to rematch with Ward after he beats Bute and Kessler, there is no where else to go other than the young guns like De Gale and Groves or move up to light heavy.
