Nuclear energy is the most efficient form of energy and very few people have ever been killed or harmed by nuclear energy...though the way it's covered you'd assume nobody that used that kind of energy had every lived to tell about it.Quote:

I think the biggest issue with wind energy is the amount of locations that you could have enough turbines to power a residential area.
I had baked beans yesterday.
I've seen a few if these driving through TX. Seems like it would only be practical for wide open areas like that, direct benefit to farming and cattle etc.
If only the Dutch knew and put a patent on them.

I'm all for wind farms, but like Lyle says, nuclear energy is more than effective and takes up a lot less space. It is perfectly safe in nations that are not prone to massive earthquakes. In places like the UK which are small and seldom have more than moderate earthquakes nuclear energy should provide most of the power.
