Warren on Froch/ Calzaghe and Kessler...
"Let’s get one thing crystal clear. Just like Bernard Hopkins, Froch swerved a fight with Calzaghe. Twice, when he was out of contract, I met with Froch and offered him the title shot but all he kept bleating on about was when did Joe intend moving up to light-heavy.
Though the Welshman was five years older and well into his mid 30’s at the time, he’d have the beating of Carl. I knew it, Carl knew it and more importantly Joe Calzaghe knew it!
Let’s also not forget that the Midlander conceded by unanimous decision to Mikkel Kessler in 2010, and it was a lesser version of Kessler. The Great Dane has never been the same force since Joe Calzaghe – now there’s a great – comprehensively bashed him up before a proper crowd, exceeding 50,000, at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium back in 2007."
-Frank 'Rabbit' Warren
He does talk shit ol' frank...But did Froch (IYO) really fancy it though?

Can 't say I ever put a great desl of trust in what Warren says. There's always an agenda there and a shit load pf spin.
Re: Warren on Froch/ Calzaghe and Kessler...
The way Froch has conducted himself in recent years I no way believe he would duck a fight with Calzaghe. He has took on tough fight after another. He gets stuck in to every fight.
Now on the other hand, Froch may have been offered the fight, so what? probably for shit money, giving options away, not quite in world class but a big british fight so Warren wins either way. That's not ducking the fight, it's called knowing when people are taking the piss.
Froch ducks nobody it's been proven.
I know Froch called Calzaghe out back when JC was champ and nobody really expected the match to happen but I always admired Froch's confidence and even Calzaghe has recently said why shouldn't Froch have called him out he was knocking on the door for world titles he had to build a profile for himself.
Re: Warren on Froch/ Calzaghe and Kessler...
Even Froch admitted that he was made an offer. From way back when :

I'm sure if you asked him now he'd have forgotten about this.

JC is a great boxer and it would be a great fight with froch being alot stronger and there stamina is about the same.
The comparison in performances against Kessler is apt. Calzaghe clearly did much better against a primer Kessler. Styles make fights, however. Maybe Kessler was more tailer-made for Calzaghe. In my opinion, Enzo Calzaghe was correct in his statement that Froch is very good, perhapts HOF bound, but he wasn't special like Calzaghe.

I'm not buying anything that fish-eyed c**t says.
Why the fuck Tyson didn't drop him when he was dangling him out the window I'll never know.
