Mayweather apparently wants to fight twice next year. The fact he is fighting on Cinco De Mayo suggests he wants to fight Canelo to me.

That sounds about right. Him and Alvarez fight Guerrero and Cotto/other in May and then fight each other in September. The May PPV would sell really well if they can make Alvarez Cotto.

It's getting interesting, just keep in mind how important that zero is to Floyd.
I think he'll fight Manny after Alvarez. If they both keep winning till then anyway.

Guerrero is not a real threat. That's preposterous. How can you be so sure of Canelo? I'm not convinced yet. He hasn't beat anyone worthy of mention, not even Cotto. If Mayweather was fighting for legacy, there are better fights out there. Would you say Trout or Guerrero is a bigger threat?

Trout is much more dangerous for Foyd. Guerrero is a cracking fighter, but he fights with his heart, not his brain, and Mayweather outsmarts him and outboxes him.
Trout is a big lad, and quick. He is also negative and defensive, and a fight with Floyd would stink the joint out.

Alvarez would be a tough fight for Floyd at 154lb only because he is not natural at the weight. He struggled with Oscar and pulled the victory through better conditioning at the second half of the fight, Cotto fight was the first time I have seen him with a bloodied nose (yet Cotto is not a huge light middle). I would have respect for Floyd fighting Saul who is very under rated and is a lot more dangerous than people think he is.

Typical Floyd. Funny how everytime Manny is in the spotlight, Floyd always has to come up with some kind of announcement to try and get the spotlight back on him. It's pathetic and desperate. :shakehead:
BTW, I agree with Rantcatrat, Canelo hasn't even come close to earning a shot at Floyd. He still needs to be proving himself against guys like Trout, Angulo, Kirkland, & Molina. Those are the guys he should be fighting first, and really earn himself a shot at Floyd.

Hey. Glad to hear he intends to fight TWICE :o next year. Good! I think the May go with Guerrero is a foregone conclussion. Roberts earned it and will come hammer and hard hat in hand but Floyd should box those ears nicely. I can see Canelo and Floyd next..though Canelo has done nothing to earn it. Unless Floyd falls off badly in yrs and wear Alvarez is a fool to think that swimming in GBPs backyard pool vs war torn fighters and blown up jr welters will have him primmed for Mayweather. Then again he probally is banking on just that, an old bored Floyd :p.
Anyway...get at it Floyd. Twice....my head is still spinning.
