Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
OK seen the 2 DJ's on the news today blubering over this and kinda felt sorry for them as it was only a prank.
I just feel there is more to this than we have been told as I can't imagine the Nurse killing herself over the prank only.
My wife thinks this is Diana all over again and the queen ordered a hit but I think its more than likely she would have lost her Job over the phone call and that is what caused her taking her life.
I must admit when I first heard that she took her life I thought it was a prank on the DJ's
Sad news all the same whatever the reason is :-\
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
Its tragic and she only passed the call along into the ward to someone else.

yeah mate same here that's why I think it was the repercussions of the prank from her bosses rather than the prank itself.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
Tragic all round for everyone but I agree it was the fear of the sack. And I reckon she would have been sacked for sure, which again is utter bullshit. But the suits and clipboard carriers have to be seen to be doing the right thing to justify their fat salaries.
Can't put any blame on the DJs, thousands of crank calls are done every day - butterfly effect, nothing more.
Something they will have to carry for rest of life unfortunately.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
Just goes to show you that all some people need is a little push to go over the edge. Those "DJ's" (because nobody is a DJ anymore, they are third rate standup comics and too ugly for TV) had and have 0 clue about anything this nurse was experiencing in her life up to the moment they called. They didn't think that such a stunt could get the woman fired or in trouble, they were selfish and just thought they would have a laugh at someone's expense and here we are. Mission accomplished DJ's...I'm sure everyone has had a fun time with this prank....barring the nurse who killed herself on account of it, but hey get some thicker skin in your next life right? Learn to take a joke why don't you.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
Its amazing that all the focus is on the pair who recorded the prank, then passed it on, who passed it on, who then passed it on etc
This woman didnt even take the call did she?
Amazing that the focus isnt on the hostpitals data protection policy and its execution of that policy. Amazing that the press are jumping all over this when its exactly what they would have done had they thought about it.
The events may have been the straw that broke the camels back but this isnt a case of someone topping themselves because they fucked up at work.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
No doubt the press are jackals when it comes to the British Royal Family. Those DJ's are pretty damned lousy too though...credit where credit is due.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
You still should not kill yourself. Something is not right there. She has children, there is more to life than a job.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
I see nothing wrong with the prank itself, but to kill herself over that? No way. You laugh at yourself and move on, but if some prick in a shiny suit gives you mountains of grief over the biggest welfare state recipients in the world, then you should tell him to go fuck himself. I hope there is an investigation and whoever got heavy on her pays a price.
Nobody would kill themselves over an incident like that alone. Master is right, she had children to think about first before even considering that.
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
It was a crank phone call by two dipsticks, not to ever ones taste but a prank can we really blame
people for other people taking, there own lives.!
In high-sight if those two dip sticks, new the out come of that phone call I'm sure they would not of
done it. We must remember peoples mental health, is not unlike some of us walk a wide path, others walk a tight rope.:(
Re: Nurse who killed herself over the Australian DJ prank
If you're going to humiliate somebody then you really should know if they are mentally stable or not.
DJs are the lowest form of human intellect.
