Corrie Sanders VS Smokin Joe Fraizier, who wins and how do their styles match up?
I want to know how a right handed orthadox swarmer does against a good southpaw, Corrie is one of the best southpaws I can think of but if you think it would be a complete blow out in Fraiziers favor insert the best heavyweight southpaw you can think of and answer the question with that person in mind instead.
Cheers

no disrespect to Sanders (RIP) but Smokin Joe would have disposed of him easily

I say Frazier wins 8 out of 10 times. Corrie didn't really have the defensive skills to hold Frazier off. He did have huge power and a tricky left, so I could see him catching Joe and getting a stoppage. But logic IMO says Joe blasts him out of there.

Joe would have been substantially lighter so think Corrie will try and use his weight. Corrie could punch but a prime Frazier in 1971 would have been too aggressive for him and win a decision or late stoppage.

Sanders size and power obviously gives him a chance but skill wise it's no contest. Frazier was tough as nails and Sanders could take a beating too.
Thing is with these match ups it's always easy to imagine the lesser fighters of modern times beating the greats of years gone by but take away the size differences and there's not much to discuss. It's interesting to imagine though and makes me wish some of these fights were possible.
