Those of you who follow Asian Boxing would know wsup with Naoya cuz he's the truth..
At the age of 19, he's had two pro fights and both were against minor Pinoy and Thai champions..

Not sure on that one, though he was out earlier this month. If the early talk of his manager (a former world champion himself) wasn't all bluster it may well be in summer against Kuroda IF Kuroda beats Reveco for the WBA Flyweight title. If not expect him out in April or May possibly.

Im not sure bro but in Japan, they are grooming him to be the next superstar.. They are hyping him up more than Ioka when he was first coming up..
Time will tell but he seems to have it. Dude is like a mixture of Nonito and Ioka!!

Naoya Inoue - Boxing Prospects
He'll need to be the truth looking at his next bout. Next time out he will face 31 year old Yuki Sano (17-2-4, 12) a former Japanese Light Flyweight title contender in a 10 round bout. Sano has never been stopped, hits hard and his last loss was a controversial one to Masayuki Kuroda.
The experience difference is ridiculous. Sano has had 23 fights to Inoue's 2, Sano has had 117 rounds to Inoue's 5 and Sano has gone 6 or more rounds something like 12 times whilst Inoue has never been the 4th!
Insane experience difference.
Re: Japanese Prospect NAOYA INOUE.. has the substance of Ioka with the flash of Noni
They don't give a fuck in Japan. They move there fighters quick. Experience is overrated over there. They don't care for it. They go by skills and talent. If you have them than you should win. If they could have a muthafukka fight for a title in his pro debut they would

So true, look what they did to Tobe, pushed too fast imo
Re: Japanese Prospect NAOYA INOUE.. has the substance of Ioka with the flash of Noni
They arguably pushed Iwasa too fast as well (though I imagine he will go on to win a world title at some point) and Hirofumi Mukai (his next bout is a hard one as well!)

Way to fast. And he's not alone. Two other fellow prospects took there first L recently. Yukinori Oguni and Shuhei Tsuchiya. The Tsuchiya one you can kind of see coming. Cuz he leaves himself wide open looking for the knock out. So he was at risk. Oguni was opposite. He has no power. He boxes to win. Him losing was surprising

Yeah I was surprised with Wake's victory, by stoppage as well
Re: Japanese Prospect NAOYA INOUE.. has the substance of Ioka with the flash of Noni
Talking about Wake he looked REALLY good last time out on route to stopping Eita Kikuchi, fair to say he's much better than his record indicates.
Anyway back to Inoue, he will be facing Ryochi Taguchi for the Japanese Light Flyweight title in March. The once beaten Taguchi is ranked #3 by the WBA and a victory opens up a very real possibility of Inoue v Ioka in a chance for Hideyuki Ohashi to get revenge for Ioka beating Akira Yaegashi.
Re: Japanese Prospect NAOYA INOUE.. has the substance of Ioka with the flash of Noni
Ioka VS Inoue is my Boxing dream. Most Japanese fighters have no problems facing each other and this fight is a possibility..
I gotta go with Inoue.. He's the greatest Asian prospect ive seen since Jung Koo Chang.. Maybe even better.
Inoue is one of those fighters who comes around once every 50 years.. IN terms of natural talent, he's above Kazuto Ioka imo.
He's on that Nonito Donaire level of natural talent..
