An Acquaintance Got Shot

Turned on the 10pm news last night and learned that the woman that runs the local taxi service was shot 3 times, no word on her condition. That sort of thing is rare here; a more common news headline would be something like "wolves kill sheep", or "elk numbers down."
She's a pretty good person, bought the business from her brother. Apparently it was a home invasion type thing. Realistically, in a town this small, if you rob somebody, you almost have to kill them, because they either already know you or will recognize you when you bump into them at Wal-Mart next week.

Hope she lives and recovers to see them carted off to the house of gay repute.

Two updates...First, it wasn't the woman I know. On the news last night they said the owner had been shot, but I saw her this morning standing outside her house on the way to the grocery store. Turns out it was an employee that was shot. Second, her injuries are non-life threatening. They have a security camera photo of the guy, described as having been dressed in camouflage clothing. This being Montana, at any given point about 78% of the male population is dressed in camo clothes.

Well, the girl that got shot is out of the hospital and in hiding. The guy is still at large. At the scene, he dropped a hard hat with "Ken" written on it. Now, I have a friend that owns a construction business here in town, and his name is Ken. If somebody would get around to offering some reward money, I'd turn him in.

That is a small town. :)

If the town is that small the girl cant be in hiding too long then.
