Think how good ZZ could have been with Slash playing with them. hehe.
"La Grange", used to be home to The Chicken Ranch an illegal but tolerated brothel in Texas that operated from 1905 until 1973. It was located in Fayette County about 2.5 miles east of downtown La Grange. The business was established by Miss Jessie Williams, and was the basis for the 1978 Broadway musical and later movie The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Most people, unless they were from Texas, didn't know that this song by ZZ was about a well known whorehouse here in Texas..

All the band members are from Texas, they have a unique sound and put on an entertaining live show. I've just always thought of ZZ as basically a commercial band, "party band" along the lines of Lynyrd Skynyrd, except with a Texas, Southwestern twist.

Saw ZZ Top live a while back. I'm not a fan of their music, but the live show was fantastic.

I like ZZ's music well enough, they have a unique sound, but yeah they put on a great live show. Tons of sexy women usually show up and party their asses off. (that's half the fun)
I thought Slash fit right in with the band which was a bit of a surprise, that was the best rendition of La Grange I can ever recall hearing.
cheers

What, a state? Or a nation?
I do both. Plus your music is boring. A good show? ZZ Top? You have awful standards and should go outside sometimes yourself. But as you know, you are boring.

Perhaps I should give up my citizenship and regurgitate Chomsky, that way I would be an intellectual like you.
Yes I go out and do things, unlike you however I enjoy them.

You mean to accept truth about your horrid nation. Ooh, such intellectualism which I do not claim.
I love life and do what I do to do it. Unlike you I don't spawn things in the desire to pretend the future world will be better. I drive a car and listen to Bruce Springsteen, meanwhile I know I am more free than most idiots who marry and spawn.
In that sense you are frogspawn and deserve the music this thread commands of you.

While I appreciate your xenophobia, it also puts the details on your profound ignorance about America in general and me as an individual. Furthermore you sound like any high school kid just sitting around and bitching..............that's what makes you boring, the fact that you tell everyone how wrong what they do is, meanwhile what is it that you are doing that is any better?
