Forgotten Fights

In Saturday's fight, apparently there were knockdowns that weren't scored as such and they affected the outcome.
I wonder if anybody remembers the rafael Ruelas vs Freddie Pendleton fight from 20 years ago? I was there and I counted five knockdowns- to my eyes Pendleton dropped him 5 times. Only two were scored, both in the first round. There was some controversy about it at the time, but it died quickly as ruelas was 'supposed' to win. I haven't seen the fight since it happened, but they seemed pretty clear at the time.

Dave McCauley vs roldolfo blanco (I) was for McCauley's IBF flyweight tittle and McCauley hit the canvas twice in the second and once in rounds three and eleven and blanco goes down himself I think in the eleventh . McCauley kept his tittle via a UD over twelve round a lot was made of this fight as people though as McCauley had been down so many times that blanco should be a certain winner as the fight went the distance . I personally had McCauley sneaking home by a point maybe two but by no more than that . The thing is although down quite a few times for me McCauley came back in those rounds to out box and out score blanco to share or cut the margin of the round to a single point . For me a knockdown in a round should not automatically mean a two point scoring gap in a round

Jay Nady badly blew the call of Barrera knocking down Marquez. Barrera ended up hitting Marquez while down because Nady stood there while Marquez dropped gloves touching the canvas. If that'd been called a knockdown it may have changed the complexion of the fight.

Abraham vs. Dirrell was a similar situation when Dirrell was dropped on the seat of his pants by Abraham but the knockdown wasn't scored. I think the frustration of this was one of the reasons Abraham hit Dirrell while he was down.

Good call on the first one, no idea how Nady blew that. Abraham didn't drop Dirrell though, it was completely a slip. Dirrell was backpedalling a lot by that point and tripped up in the corner trying to run around, but he wasn't dropped and Abraham had no excuse for that cheap shot.

Dave was an exciting fighter who had his ups and downs, he was knocked down in the first round against Bassa and stopped Jake Matlada who was a tough nut to crack.

The fight actually reminded me of James Page vs Jose Luis Lopez, Page was knocked down twice although 1 was a bit so and so. But he was rocked many times like Bradley was and Provodnikov's style is somewhat similar to Lopez's although not as good obviously.

You could also compare it to Ike Quartey vs Jose Luis Lopez, another underrated Welterweight fight with Jose Luis Lopez coming on strong late like Provodnikov did and dropping Quartey Twice.

I wanna say Victoriano sosa was jobbed of 3 kd TKO vs Spadafora, he was really jobbed of a win period :-X. Looked like Oba Carr was down three times in the first round v Bramble to me. Winky Wright losing in his first title attempt to Vasquez with 2 kds and 3 'slips aka kds' being the only difference?

Hector Camacho lost his first fight because the ref deducted a point for refusing to touch gloves with his opponent in the last round.

Herol Graham lost his title challenge against McCallum for turning him.

Benn could have got victory against Eubanks if the ref did not deduct a point against him in their second fight.

Nady is a terrible ref. And that was a legit knock down that should of been called. But the point deduction was deserved. Barrera knew what he was doing. Cuz he hesitated at first. And than hit him. He knew Marquez was down
