Who's to say that's the case? We've not really seen anyone hit him back. He got knocked down vs Harold Sconiers but what does that tell us? All fighters call each other out through the press. Now they're using the available technology to wage battles on Twitter and Facebook. Except that in all weight divisions below heavyweight, they actually go out and face each other in the ring. The heavyweights leave it at the Twitter level... get some sort of mysterious injury... become interested in some other fighter... and proceed to remain inactive for a year and a half.
