Interviewed by Johnny Nelson and was shown last night.
Really good and he came across just as I remembered him after I had a beer with him while on duty for Saddos in elephant and castle sports centre in London about 6-7 years ago.
Just a really nice guy with a big personality and fun easy to get on with..he even invited me and my mate to come partying with him after but I was djing elsewhere so ended uo inviting him and the ring girls instead lol.

He's got a great story to tell of his life and how Don King raped him silly cash wise.
He only got 60k for beating Bruno while Bruno got over a Million Sterling ???!!! WTF.

Showed no bitterness toward King though and just got on with his life ;-)

Was interesting to hear his story of sparring with Ali before the Holmes fight , he was told only to go to the body due to state of Alis already shot to bits Brain and everyone in Camp was saying Ali shouldn't be fighting.

Ali was present after he beat Bruno and on the walk back he had chairs , bottles , coins etc thrown at him by angry Bruno fans then had to barracade himself in the dressing room while the fans tried to break down the doors and kick the fuck out of him.
Ali heard what was going on...walked over to the UK fans and said enough and they all fucked off and left him alone :-).

I met him when i went to a mike tyson dinner really funny guy, large character and very open

I have heard him on TV including Box Nation with Bunce. He is cool and laid back and very interesting. Said he wanted to lose to Bonecrusher to get away from King. He would have been a good fight for Tyson and he gave Holmes hell.

yeah i seen it. I like witherspoon and he looks well for his age, not fat or outta shape, but i think he kinda exaggerates stuff. Ive heard him telling different accounts of the bruno fight and the purses. No doubt he got shafted but jack neufields book on king tells the tale well. Im also not so sure all that trouble went on at the bruno fight the way Tim says as we woulda heard about it before and/or some of it woulda been caught on film. but yeah, he did get shafted
