University questionnaire on boxing
Hello guys,
It would be great if you could help me by completing my questionnaire for university about boxing and whether it is declining or not in America. The questionnaire is pretty fast to complete. There are 2 links because my free account on Survey Monkey only allows me to put 10 questions in a questionnaire and it would be expensive for me to get membership on it for just one questionnaire :( If you decide to fill it out, please fill out both parts. They are both pretty quick to complete. Apologies if you may get a slight feeling of a preconceived notion about the questionnaire but your replies are what will help to conclude everything, and you also get comment boxes where you can write additional information and opinions which will also be taken into account.

You obviously have preconceived notions concerning the sport and have designed some of the questions accordingly. No offense.

There's over 20 thousand professional boxing matches take place each year (courtesy Boxrec).
God knows how many amateur boxing matches take place each year.
Around 77 countries send boxing teams to the 2008 Olympics.
Women boxed at the 2012 Olympics.
Declining? Perhaps if you're talking within a single country, but Boxing's a world-sport and there's 190-some odd countries in the world.

I think the sport is actually on an upswing and with great visibility. Major cards on a premier network from a Communist country, 2 of the 3 "free" networks airing solid matches for the first time in over a decade, the Olympic-amatuer system has FINALLY been trashed for more realistic and fan friendly pro like rules, and the young dude from the AC company walking through my garage looking at the 8x10s on the wall and asking "how would Mayweather do with Pernell" :o;D...(that was refreshing)...nah, boxing with its scars and black eyes isn't going anywhere!

I had to answer truthfully, and the fact is boxing doesn't have the luster it once did, and a lot of that luster is being stolen by MMA. The starts of MMA are starting to occupy the places in pop culture than the champions of boxing used to.
It's not because one sport is better or worse than the other, it's because GREEDY, SHORTSIGHTED FUCKS LIKE DON KING, BOB ARUM, FRANK WARREN, ECT RAN IT INTO THE GROUND.
