He is probably deaf, someone needs to fix the old guys toilet, you can hear it running, the water bills must be through the roof.

What's important is that Jake LaMotta kicked a prime Sugar Ray Robinson's @$$, and Robinson is the Pound-For-Pound Greatest in Boxing history...

He never kicked Rays ass. He beat him and outweighed him by 15 pounds. Ray beat him previously with a similar weight disadvantage and then went on to beat him 4 more times after that first loss. And Robinson being this p4p greatest in history is highly debatable.

So I guess he'll fight the winner of Jones Jr and Collins?
By the way, when he was good, LaMotta runs Jones Jr out of the ring.

;D Good one.
But, you know LaMotta would have had no chance against Roy in their primes. It would be like a Palenstinian freedom fighter throwing rocks at an Israeli tank.
(borrowed that last line from mma legend Don Frye)

Sweet Jesus, Lamotta would have gotten killed by prime Jones. Absolutely obliterated. Not even close.

Re: Jake LaMotta Shadow Boxing at 89 Years of Age
I heard LaMotta is in training, and Bob Arum is going to put him in with Zou Shiming.

Re: Jake LaMotta Shadow Boxing at 89 Years of Age

The Bronx Bull Jake LaMotta whupped Sugar Ray Robinson on that particular night. The amazing 130 undefeated record is counting Ray's amateur and pro record at the time. Ray was 40-0 as a pro.
And Sugar Ray had no cakewalk with pressure fighter Lamotta in the other 5 fights though Ray won them all. They were close, tough competitive fights, fans liked to see them fight, so they kept fighting.
“I fought Sugar Ray so many times, it's a wonder I don't have diabetes.”—Jake LaMotta.
"Always when you were fightin' this guy, you knew condition was the name of the game. You HAD to be in condition." - Sugar Ray Robinson
Re: Jake LaMotta Shadow Boxing at 89 Years of Age
Roy Jones would have out boxed him, that chin was incredible however.
