Where can I attend an American Football match near Orlando
Ok so I'm halfway through season 2 boxset of Friday Night Lights and I'm kinda getting into it. I'm in Florida for the last two weeks of May and was thinking about attending a game, when in Rome and all that. ;D
I can find some AFL indoor game but have no idea how popular that format is. I dont care if it's High School, College or Pro. I just wanna go somewhere with a decent atmosphere to soak up and see some cheerleaders. :lickish:
Any suggestions?

Wrong time of year bro. All NFL, College and HS games are from Sept-Feb. Your only bet would be indoor league game or some semi-pro type stuff. Neither of which is going to provide you the atmosphere you are looking for.

Arr, that explains it then. Plus I'm guessing Orlando isn't much of a football town?
VC, is small town Texas really like it is in Friday Night Lights? My Dad and I were looking at going to Austin to see the Formula 1 GP in November but my missus refuses to let me go. She seems to think it'll be just like FNLs with hot horny Texan girls fucking anyone and everyone. ;D I've assured her Austin's nothing like that plus I'm definitely no Dillon Panther but she's trying to block the trip all the same. I guess secretly I'm hoping she is right though! ;D
I'd love to attend a game though. The level of support HS and College football gets Stateside amazes me. The only people who attend HS & University Football (Soccer) in the UK are the parents of the players - if that!! But I guess that's cus any 17 year old kid worth seeing play is already a Pro earning $100k a week!! :o

Looks like the best High School team in the Orlando area is Apopka.
My advice to you sir is to get tickets to a University of Florida game in Gainsville which is like an hour and a half away. College is WAAAAAY more fun than the pro game IMO and if you really want to experience it in it's best format check this out.......

Florida Gators vs the Georgia Bulldogs in "THE WORLD'S LARGEST OUTDOOR COCKTAIL PARTY"...that's the official name of the game and it's always held in Jacksonville, Fl.
I hope that helps bro and have fun!
Also the women of the SEC are mighty MIGHTY fine

I've never seen FNL but I am sure it is quite exaggerated. If you'd really like some insight I'd suggest reading the book by the same name. That being said, small Texas towns do take their HS Football pretty serious. While small town girls are known for a good time I think you can tell the wife not to worry. For every diamond in the rough there are a lot of heifers. While still in Texas, Austin is probably one of our more eclectic places. Sure you will still see big trucks, boots and cowboy hats but you will also see hippies with to many piercings and in dire need of a shower. Fun town none the less.
