A newfound respect for Zab Judah....
Ok, I fully admit I have never liked the thug or his mouthy pappy either. To me he was just another thug boxer always starting shit or drama, or getting in trouble. Hardly a role model, and not a top calibur fighter either. I admit to rejoicing when I saw Judah get ko'ed by Kostya:)
But....tonight I saw a different Zab. seems he has changed a bit. He fought with dignity, courage, skills and did not give up although he was taking a beating. He came back after getting hurt! He looked good at times! And he was a warrior true. Hell, he even acted classy after the fight, with good sportsmanship.
who ever heard of that from Zab?? lol.
It was kinda weird not despising the guy. Hell has frozen over.....

It's his job to fight. Hard to give him credit for that. Not only that, he had no choice. To much shit talking between both fighters. Judah would of been done if he would of gone out like a bitch and just laid down. Brooklyn would of disowned him. He does get credit for still trying to win the fight as oppose to just surviving.

Judah did well to stay in the fight and not look for a way out as he has done in the past. He still did not deserve the shot at the title.

My opinion has changed with regards to Zab. He has matured and evolved from the loudmouth, ghetto punk he used to be. He now speaks with more maturity. He has also quieted those who might have questioned his heart and his will. He's also a family man, and knows where his priorities lie.
Zab Judah is living proof that you don't have to be an ignorant, loudmouth, ghetto punk ass bitch for your entire life.

He just doesn't do enough for the judges. He also makes hard shots taken way too dramatic. That kills you with the judges. He takes a good shot and all of sudden he's just gotten off of a carnival twirl ride. He breaks out the stanky leg every fight. I give him credit for knowing he was down and at least trying to come back. His corner is also way better without his dad, whom I personally blame Zab's underachieving career. I been a Zab fan since the 90's, I thought he would rival Floyd, I really did.

Judah fought his best fight in years. He showed heart and courage and De La Hoya was right in tweeting "Brooklyn is the only thing holding Zab up".
If not for getting knocked down, Judah was right in the fight to win it or get a draw. I really wish he could have dropped Garcia, but Garcia has a good chin and kept his poise.
The old Judah who was not fighting in Brooklyn would have quit like he did against Clottey, Khan and Cotto.

Agreed, obviously Judah's plan was to survive until the late rounds which was almost derailed. .
LOL I doubt it will EVER be Judah's plan to make a long fight.

I think Judah deserves respect for his performance. He's been notorious as a mental midget who fades down the stretch. It was strange to see him gut it out and come on stronger in the later rounds.

I thought he'd be competitive for four or five rounds then fall apart and get stopped. Definitely fighting in Brooklyn helped him. No doubt we'll see him in a big fight from there again.
