Gary O'Sullivan v Billy Joe Saunders
A few weeks ago, when everyone said Matchroom had won purse bids for Suanders v Ryder, I said I'd heard a rumour that Billy will instead fight O'Sullivan in an eliminator for the WBO World title. Looks like that rumour was right. Gary posted on Facebook about 10 minutes ago to say he will be defending the WBO Intercontinental title against Saunders on July 20th and the fight doubles up as eliminator for the WBO World title.

Very disappointing. Saunders will win but it is another 'who cares' on his record. O'Sullivan was very lucky to get a decision over Matthew Hall in my eyes and his record is pretty much bullshit. I understand the point is to move Saunders further up the rankings but this fight is nothing to get excited about.
