Larry's prediction was in the Boxing news when he said that. Only added to his unpopularity with the masses.
It's amazing just how right he was.

Way back when, Larry was saying Tyson was no credit to boxing, and that was at a time when Tyson's people were doing a fantastic job of sugar-coating his past, trying to make Tyson out to be a role-model with the good manufactured public image because that leads to million in endorsements.

Larry knew what was up when Tyson's people and promoters were trying to keep the public in the dark, but the truth has a way of coming out eventually...

So he predicted - a delinquent guy from the slums of NY who would have a short career at the top , is uneducated , has earned millions and has an unstable personal life.

Yes not such a difficult prediction really.

Tyson looked scary coming into the ring. Tyson did say that Holmes said things before he thought about what he was saying, which is true. Holmes is a great.

I said he looked scary, not scared, if I was Holmes I would have ran out of the ring. A very at their peak and you at the end of your career, you know it will not end well.

At the time, I thought that Holmes, by talking bad about Tyson before the fight was being fairly clever. Speaking bitterly after losses had really made him look bad. Since Tyson was almost certainly going to kick larry's ass, I figured that Larry was getting all the bitterness out of the way up front. So it could be taken seriously, not ascribed to his being a sore loser.
Didn't anticipate that Larry was really trying to impress Dionne Warwick and earn a place on the psychic hotline.

Haha I like Dionne Warwick, but had to google her to know what you meant there;D Had no idea she thought she was a psychic or anything lol.

I watched the documentary "Tyson" a few years back, it seemed to do a good job of explaining his early years and upbringing. Worth a watch... even if you're not a boxing fan, I think it's an interesting look at how hard it is to move beyond that kind of start, if you will.
