With This Weekend's Result, What Would You Do With The Winners and Losers?
June 8th was a great weekend for boxing. Especially on the Showtime card.
I'm always looking for the next possible opponents.
Who would you match up with the winners and losers of the weekend of fights?

Dawson should fight Hopkins that would be intriguing.
Lopez rematch Ortiz or someone easier

The first thing that popped off my head was I'd like to see Lara fight Mayweather. Odd, both styles I'm not huge on but together for whatever reason, I think it might be interesting.
Jebus...Maidana vs Provodnikov!! Or Guerrero! Think the styles = mutiple explosions ;D
Stevenson vs Kovalev .....tick...tick...:angryxo4:
Angulo v Thurman. I think Thurman is easily a jr middle in a welters body. Lopez? Just not sure, but it needs to be at 140

Id like to see Maidana go back to 140 and fight Garcia or Matthyse, though I'd give him slim chance against either. He could always fight say Kell Brook or something for a nice payday if he plans to stay at the weight, but he'd lose that to.
Lopez NEEDS to drop back down, would be nice to see him actually get a couple of winnable fun fights.. Either Peterson would be good matchmaking at this point imo:confused:.
I'm not sure if Lara would be interested in 160, but a fight with Quillin would be really tough to call I think. Would love to see that, great clash of styles with Lara winning every second he didn't spend on the canvas.

Good question. Stevenson should try and fight Pascal or Bute. For him, it'd be a mega money fight in Canada and I think it is best to get the money while he can.
Dawson needs to find his mojo. I'm not really sure what the best thing is, but maybe I'd get him a Cleverly bout. Cleverly needs to sink or swim against a decent name. He doesn't have 1 punch KO power so it'll give Dawson rounds to work. Not sure he'd keep up with Nathan's activity but I think Warren would pay him to come over.
Gamboa needs to fight a live body. These undefeated, untested nobodies are doing nothing for his reputation and it is killing his appeal. He needs to be thrown in at the deep end now. Richard Abril is the obvious answer as it'd be an all Cuban tear up.
I'd put Lopez in with Cano. I think it'd be a fun fight, and Lopez needs a confidence builder against a gatekeeper type name. If he did a job on him, he could say he did better than Mosely & Paulie and it'd give him some relevence again.
Maidana needs to keep the momentum going. Looks like he'll get the Paulie-Broner winner, but like everyone else I wanna see him fight Matthysse.
I wanted to see Lara fight Canelo, but I'm happy Canelo is fighting Floyd. Maybe test Lara's chin again and have him fight Kirkland.
The next thing I'd do with Angulo is take him to the hospital. His face looked an absolute mess. Fun fighter to watch, but he needs to stop taking so many shots and maybe try blocking a few. He needs to build himself back up, so I'd put him in with a few soft touches before a big fight again.
Marco Huck needs to stop the rematches and unify with somebody. Doesn't matter which of the 3. I'd probably keep him away from Hernandez. Guillermo Jones would be best I think.
Afolabi-Danny Green would be a fun fight. I'd probably go for that next for him.
Degale needs a test and not a muppet. He needs a meaningful fight and not another Hennessy soft touch that protects his bloated record.
