What's up with Floyd?

My impression is that he wants to change his image, which is a good idea with retirement approaching. He wants to transition from the trash talking, sometimes foul mouthed boxer to the respected, trustworthy, onetime boxer businessman.
I hope the whole thing works out for him, and along the way I'm hoping he can lead the way back to less foulmouthed trash talking.
I know the boxers themselves aren't totally to blame, not with reporters, camera crews, HBO, SHOETIME, ESPN, a multitude of boxing bloggers and App reporters ready and willing to repeat everything they hear.
If Floyd could point some of the younger boxers in the right direction, my respect for him would grow by leaps and bounds. I might start calling him Mr Mayweather instead of Floyd.
What do you think Floyd is doing? Tell me what you think. Maybe you think I'm full of BS, I've been told that before.

Probation is what's up.
Being indoors at a certain hour.
Attending court-ordered workshops.
Being kept on a short leash, having a court-ordered babysitter at 35 years old.
Community service, that kind of thing.

No I have heard a recent interview think in boxing news or monthly and he was humble and blamed his mistakes on his youth. He is also trying to create a legacy as his career draws an end so that no one can doubt he has avoided anyone now.

Good luck to him but I hope he loses against Canelo.

Call me a pessimist, but this half-assed nice guy thing from Floyd won't last. Floyd will be back in jail one day. It happened with his father, and his uncle (and probably still will) and Floyd still like to live that "gangsta" lifestyle. All signs point to things not ending well for Floyd.

Floyd Sr is the only one who's been to prison. Jr and Roger never been to prison. They been to jail. But not prison. There is a huge fucking difference between prison and jail. Totally different ball game

If you want to just make shit up...i guess there is no need for a discussion. His father served time a long time ago and Floyd has done one stint just recently. "Floyd isn't that clever"?! The guy makes more money than any athlete in the world and has you steamed cause he goes to strip clubs all the time......you are absolutely right.....he sounds like an idiot :rolleyes:

I hope you eventually realize that it's exactly people like you that have Floyd laughing himself all the way to the bank.
