James Toney is back! JFAT alliance

It slipped under the radar of pretty much the entire world, but James Toney is back. He bounced back from the loss to Browne to take home an 8 round decision against Kenny Lemos and then apparently tried to start a fight with an audience member who called him 'a bum' for looking out of sorts and sluggish. To be fair to Toney, he was fighting a really fat bastard of 293 pounds and did lose some weight himself for his bum of the month stay busy schedule. The Klitschko sisters were called out again and surely by now on the back of a loss and struggling with a journeyman he is now due his obligatory shot at Wlad.

I would like to see Toney on FNF's next month against another journeyman but weighing 235 pounds and being able to decide for myself how sluggish he looks because this fight was ignored and he really was beyond fat against Browne who Toney clearly didn't give any respect.

James Toney, a once great fighter, is a joke! The man does not belong in the boxing ring, it's a shame he is allowed to fight. It's his life and if he wants to run around the world looking the fool it's his business but I can't get behind it, no way, no how.

My post was semi satirical, but I know what you mean. It is hard to see Toney reduced to throwing 20 punches a round against much bigger men with whom he would toy with in his prime.

It boggles my mind why in his mid 40's the bum of the month campaign is in vogue when he was fighting once a year for half a decade. I don't understand it and then when he did fight he was completely out of shape.

It was a complete arrogance and belief in skill, which was true to an extent, but that in turn created a grand delusion. Now caught between a rock and a hard place, Toney lost the comeback fight that he thought would be easy. He has now lost more weight and it has no coverage and apparently didn't look good.

I say let him have a showing on FNF's and let the audience decide once and for all. FNF is for middle range between fighters and Toney deserves that. Nobody saw the Browne fight, nobody saw this either.

There is something existential in following a fighter out to the end and that is the JFAT alliance. You can be angry and upset with Toney, but everyone is a sinking ship at some point. I wouldn't call him a fool though. These are the tools he has.

I was kind of rooting for the fat hillbilly.

I would like James Toney to fight Lyle next in the name of American emancipation and to get the Klit link a little closer.

I wouldn't go as far as to call one of the greats a joke.There decision making sucks but dont forget these guys took thousands of punches to the head for decades, their reality is a little distorted.

This is good, now James can retire on a win. RETIRE NOW JAMES!

No, he's now a joke. When the decision making process ends with him covering a mma mat with Speed Stick and day old gravy stains he's just asking for it.

The J Fat alliance need to let go and understand the Toney they love is lost and gone forever. He will never come back.
