A perforated ear drum was all the rage a couple of years back in boxing but then kinda went out of fashion. Good to see that with Price and now Henson its having a bit of a renaissance.

I don't think we should underestimate his assailant in all this. There was poor old Gavin, merely passionately pointing out to the gentleman that he had spilled some of his beverage on his shirt...how was he to know that he had Tony Thompson like power in that right hand that didn't even need a full technically correct punch to deliver that power.
Not sure who he is, but I reckon he could KO some of the heavyweights on the British scene.
Edit - Wikipedia is saying that it was back row forward Carl Fearns, who hasn't exactly been troubling the first team at Bath.
Actually, on second viewing, it could have glanced onto his temple. We all know glancing temple shots can paralyse any fighter. All the ironed chin ones were just lucky they never got hit on that part of the bonce
