Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
David Haye vs Fury: The biggest fight in British history? | GiveMeSport
Probably not!
However I do believe that it is an important fight in terms of the heavyweight division.
I class Haye as the second best heavyweight in the world, I say he beats anyone excluding Wlad (as proven), not because Wlads more skillful, but because he's invented a way of surviving for a very long time with a paper chin.
Seemingly this is one of the biggest British and world fights in years for the heavyweight division.
I'd like to see Fury knocked flat inside a round, and although Haye will likely knock him out later, if the fight goes the distance it wouldn't be the worst, as long as it is very entertaining.
I hope they either show skillful defence and suave counters, but it'll likely be a slugfest in which case, we all get our money's worth.
Re: Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
This fight is no where close to being the biggest. Both have the biggest mouth and ego but this is just a domestic clash. Nothing for the rest of the world to worry themselves about. :)
Re: Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
Are you kidding? That would be a slap in the face to the real British legends..
A fight involving David Haye, the part time boxer with a glass chin is the biggest fight in the history of British Boxing. lol
Re: Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
Haye/Fury is a big domestic fight. But this is 2013 not 1993 and neither has got the mainstream exposure of their past peers.
This simply does not compare to what I would call the biggest eight days in modern British boxing history, when I was lucky enough to go to both Bruno/Lewis and Benn/EubankII.
Re: Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
Lewis Bruno was a legitimate fight for a serious world ranking, but of course it was made before the days of hello magazine and get me up the jungle. The media nowadays probably thinks Tyson Fury is already the world champion and David Haye is the challenger!
One side of me says good luck to them both, why shouldn't they make as much money as some shit singer on Simon Cowells latest slave drive, the other side says what the fuck has boxing become?

You're speaking English. How is it possible that you can't understand English?

Never the biggest fight in British history. Not even close. Even in 2013, I'm more excited for Froch-Groves than this.
Re: Haye vs Fury... The biggest fight in British history?
Not the biggest but could be the richest. Wait until closer to the event when SKY and the promotion goes into overdrive.
Haye did a reported 800,000 PPV buys for the Harrison fight (beat that for Valuev and Wlad). BoxNation had their highest number of subscribers for Haye-Chisora and Fury has been getting 3 million viewers on Channel 5.
These fighters are known to the casual fan.
