List of Boxers that Have Tested Positive for PED's
Let's keep a running tally of boxers that have tested positive at one time or the another for a performance enhancing drug. Let's only consider boxers that actually failed tests, not suspicions. It appears that a new name drops every few weeks. Here's a start although I'm sure that I'm missing a ton.
Brian Magee
J'Leon Love
Mickey Bey
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Lamont Peterson
Erik Morales
Andre Berto
Antonio Tarver
Mariusz Wach
Sam Solimon
Shane Mosley
Ali Adams
Franz Botha
James Toney
Fernando Vargas
Roy Jones
Evander Holyfield
Orlando Salido

That list just shows what an utter joke of a "sport" boxing is. You've got a bunch of "legends" listed there, yet in other sports you get caught you become a leper

That is a sad list, some of my favourite fighters.

In Football (the American football) it's not all that big of a deal. Steroids, HGH....whatever makes you hit harder, run faster, jump higher, etc. I mean they still get banned for using those substances but people forget all about it after a while. The sport does (to an extent) glamorize the use of such PEDs...for example

i like what mike tyson said, steroids dont always make you a better fighter, i think thats why its not as frowned as other sports, that being said, if two guys are even in skill, the juicer wins, not fair, screwed up, we need to get rid of them, but there will always be a new one that can slip through tests

I'm pleading ignorance but when did Holyfield actually fail a post fight? Since we're not talking suspicious or speculative? Didn't Virgil Hill get popped too? Richard Hall.
Re: List of Boxers that Have Tested Positive for PED's
Boxing isn't the only sport, but I agree that this list is disappointing to say the least. Here in the U.S. Major League Baseball has and is still going through a major dark spot in that sport's history with PED's. They have a lot of legends as well that have had PED issues, and one of the biggest stars of the early 2000's ( Alex Rodrigez) is about to be crushed with penalties. It's more of a global sports problem in which boxing is not immune to. Look at cycling too. A mess.

We are all forgetting Larry. Maybe it's because his thread, like his 4 year ban, has now vanished onto the ether.

Looks like a short list to me, compared to the number of pro fighters. Yes, I believe a lot more pro boxers take some kind of banned substance. Hell, if we could say for sure these were the only pro boxers to cheat with drugs I'd say it was under control.
Some of us believe one cheater is too many, but with so much money involved cheating with drugs is here to stay, in my opinion.
