FOX Sports 1 New Boxing Series
FOX Sports 1, which debuts in August (in the U.S.) announced that it would be starting a new "Monday Night Fights" series. Anytime a U.S. network shows boxing events it's a huge deal. What are your thoughts on this? Is Monday a good day? I think Monday works better than Sunday due to NFL Football dominating Sunday tv.

Still on the air, unless you're talking about another network other than ESPN2?

Not sure how this could be looked at as a negative at all. Great news for the sport to return to a major network in primetime. But, not sure how smart it is to go head to head with Monday Night Football on ESPN! I'm watching.

Golf is still on the air on ESPN 2 as well
only the majors, and they do pretty well. I don't understand your points at all

Any day is a good day for boxing in my opinion! This supposed to be a big deal for the UFC too! Dana White has been plugging it for months.

My point is that you are reinventing the wheel, boxing is in a very dark error, ESPN and NBC have already tried this.
When USA and the three major networks stopped airing cards boxing it was riding on rims. Its not in a dark error era at all. It has growing weekly visibility and how ever you slice it...that a great thing.

I feel you man, some have crashed and burned but I really think that FOX wants to make a serious push on ESPN and if they connect with boxing fans, you could see a real boom. I think they should incorporate a boxing news segment into it like FFN. I have watched FNF just for the boxing news segments before. I also agree that boxing has made a turn for the better in the past couple of years. Still a long way to go, but an increase is an increase. The matchups have gotten better, I have to say.
