Jaime Balboa - Boxer

Mikkell Kessler, Meldrick Taylor, Julio Caesar Chavez when he was 71-0, Vince Phillips, Freddie Roach even, this fuckin guy fought em all....and lost to em all. But still, he was a lil warrior. Managed to win 65 fights, 59 by KO.
Re: Rocky Balboa, The ultimate journeyman
Jamie 'Rocky' Balboa... Now that is a blast from the past.
He was a bit more than a recognizable name; if you were not a top 50 fighter in your division Balboa found you out, as he was as you suggest, no mug.
But he was also no 'Iowa' Mike Tyson! ;)
Re: Rocky Balboa, The ultimate journeyman
Quentessential have gun will travel warrior right there. He is responsible for finally making me shut up and take the hype blinders off about Derrell Colley who I was convinced "had the goods" ;D. He comes in as typical 5 day late sub, has to go up a division in Coleys back yard and proceeds to drop him and hurt him a few times with perfectly timed left hooks. Jaime let him punch himself out...again...and had him holding on like a drunk zombie after dropping Coley hard in the final minute of 12th. Rocky had him, thought he deserved the nod!
Re: Rocky Balboa, The ultimate journeyman
Thanks for sharing fellas. Shame I didn't get to see this guy fight in his day. Before my time.
Unique name and fighter though.
Odd to see a journeyman with so many wins and ko's in addition to his losses.
Re: Rocky Balboa, The ultimate journeyman
I saw him fight Meldrick taylor, Darryl Tyson, and Angel Hernandez. He also fought Primo Ramos who had a one punch 2nd round KO over Frankie Randall.
Re: Rocky Balboa, The ultimate journeyman
Chavez right hand is a bomb, Rocky is the type of guy that stayed fit by fighting regularly.
