Disrespecting a boxing legend
If Ali walked past you out of the ring the fnal time would you try and get as close to him as you could if just two rows back ? Of course you would
Leonard after Camacho fight - same thing
As with Hagler, Duran, Frazier, Louis, etc, etc, etc
Well look at this twat texting on his mobile phone at 3.09 of following clip - should be ashamed

Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend
Wasn't this the last "heavyweight title fight" HBO actually aired???
Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend
As good as Rocky VI was (second only to the original IMO), this silly thing really annoyed me: Because as it was an 'exhibition bout', it should not of been scored.

That is the only silly thing that bothered you? What about the fact that Rocky was getting more intelligent as the films progressed. Rocky 4 he was at his peak of intelligence and it slowly went back down to being punch drunk.

True... But Rocky VI to me was the deserved sequel to the original. Rocky II was a pretty ordinary cliché love story, III and IV had kitsch value, V was terrible.
Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend
Rocky 4 was the best movie and music of all time and deserved an Oscar. Such an under rated and unappreciated film. Rocky 3 was not bad either, forget acting we want to see the training and the fight at the end.
PS To this day I refuse to watch Rocky 5, it never happened.
Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend
Besides Rocky steadly getting more intelligent, I found it a bit unrealistic because of his amazing increase in boxing ability.
I still like the films though. And yes, part 5 was a let down. :)
Part 6 was good, but a 50+ year old Rocky still being competitive at that level? No.
Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend

Rocky 4 was my favorite as well but my favorite scene from the series was the one where Rocky raises his title and shouts " Adrian, I did it !" mannn that scene always gets me.

I assume the guy had a bet on Dixon winning by KO and was disappointed that it didn't happen, hence moping around on his phone. ;D
Re: Disrespecting a boxing legend
4 was my favourite as a kid as was the one out when I was a teenager. In time I came t appreciate the others - the first had a huge impact on me
5 was an embarassment. Every film series has one
eg Highlander II, Beverly Hills Cop III, Die Hard 5, Godfather II etc...

You must at least watch the final scene where Rocky goads Tommy Morrison into a street fight.
It gave me my sig after all.
