Turns out Vasquez Viral Illness was made up as excuse to not fight Burns

Apparently it was money and not illness that stopped it happening.

It was kind of obvious anyways. One minute the fight was on then the next minute he comes down with a virus. It sounded bogus from the beginning.

I thought about this fight and Vazquez would have lost decisively. His semi-running, pot shotting style wouldnt have been favored by the judges in Scotland, no way, and the chances of him knocking out Burns was zero.

It was actually a wise decision by team Vazquez.

And yet Burns get criticsed for not fighting Broner.

When a fighter gives up his mandatory position, he's going to be criticized.

Other fighters would kill to be in that position yet burns just threw away that golden opportunity , not once but twice was it?

Now I'm not implying that burns is scared because no fighters are but his handlers didn't seem to like his chances so they chose to protect their investment.

Hey who could blame them. Shit If I was handling burns, I wouldn't put him anywhere near broner until I've milked him and ready to cash out.
