If this fight happens, who wins?

John won't leave Indonesia again in his career and he won't fight anyone remotely difficult.

John is way way overated . He cleanly should have lost to Marquez, struggled in his fights with Jaurez, and now is fighting guys who don't pose a threat. John made himself irrelevant to the general boxing public.

But he stills make s fortune and will remain a legend in India. Id be happy if I could have a career like his.

I'm not sure about any of that, other than that he made himself irrelevant. I thought he beat Marquez in a tight fight. I also thought that he clearly beat Juarez both times. He can't be overrated because no one even considers him when discussing the featherweight landscape for fighters like Mares and Donaire.

He wouldn't get any grief for fighting in Indonesia if he fought good competition, but most of the time, he doesn't. So, the grief is warranted.

John is a master boxer and he would make things very difficult for Mares.

Anyone hear about a Mares v Ponce rematch. it was made clear betwixt the two that it would happen but I haven't heard anything further. Either way I always like watching Mares fight I think he is an exciting g fighter to watch.

Mares looks like he's coming in at full fledge Lightweight. I don't mind John as a boxer, but Mares would light him up.
