Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
Floyd Mayweather Jr: "If fans keep paying, keep handpicking them"
Floyd cool on handpicked opponents that lead to him not taking punishments during fights.
Re: Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm not his biggest fan but you can't deny he fights the toughest guys most of the time.
Re: Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
you'd be a fool not to chose opponents that you think you can beat.
that being said he's fought and defeated 18 world champions.
Re: Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
If a fighter really wanted to go out of his way to avoid damage they'd wear a suit & tie for a living or just stay in bed.
Re: Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
It is true, Mayweather has fought an incredible amount of questionable fighters in the higher weights. Guerrero? Marquez at WW? Hatton at WW? Gatti? Zab 'I lose to everyone'Judah? Green Ortiz on a sucker punch? Baldmomir? Sharmba Mitchell? Henry Brusseles? And now Canelo on a CW! You prove yourself a legend Floyd! And people have the audacity to pick on Calzaghe's record?

Floyd saying these things that might contradict and hurt his claim as the greatest boxer of all time.

Floyd don't need say anything to contradict and hurt his claim as the greatest boxer of all time. Boxings past does that on it's own
Re: Floyd Jr admitted his undefeated record been partly built on handpicked opponents
There's no champion in the history of boxing who hasn't hand picked opponents from time to time. Because once you're the champ, you have the leverage to pick and choose.
I don't think picking and choosing is bad if you are making good choices. Mayweather picked to fight Canelo... I don't hear anyone complaining about that hand picked opponent.
Who's to complain about his recent opponents? All were world champs or the top of their divisions.

Besides Tszyu and P. Williams the man has fought pretty much everyone that mattered. He would have fought Pacman but Pac did not want random drug test, which to me says he was hiding something. If it don't make dollars it don't make sense which has been his motto for along time. Canelo could have said no to 152 but that's what he agreed to so now we have The One which I can't wait til Saturday for this 1.
