We'll have to wait and see. So much about Wilder is unknown at this point so it's unfair to lump him as a new Shavers (as much as everyone loves Shavers, that is definitely an insult). Shavers had a proven weak chin, proven lack of heart, proven dedication/stamina issues. We'll have to wait to see how Wilder holds up against top level opposition.

There are definitely some style comparisons especially when they get a guy in the corner and also his amateur record which only consists of about 30 fights. He also never started boxing until age 22. From what I have seen so far Shavers had better fundamentals with pretty good head movement and could bob and weave but he was shorter then most of his opponents.Quote:
