Friday-feeling predictions for ''The One'' Double-header

So it's finally here!!!!! ''The-One''!!! Althogh it will probably feel more like a ''One-Two''.

What are your Friday-feeling predictions? :cool:

Here are mine.

Garcia v Matthysse:

The odds favour an early stoppage win for Matthysse but I see Garcia as capable enough and Matthysse patient and respectable enough to keep this fight going past 6 at least. Garcia by stoppage isn't an absolute impossibility but I don't think he is as big a puncher to land a one-bang KO and Matthysse will definitely show Garcia enough 'looks' to keep Garcia form finding the same holes enough times to get the job done.

Could be wrong though. Vivian Harris landed a nice number of straight rights in a fairly short space of time.

Not much doubt in my mind that Garcia will stun Matthysse with a couple of shots early-ish. Although I doubt, he'll ever get dropped. Matthysse will come on strong in that last 4 rounds, if anything then by way of Danny fading.

There's a good chance Danny will get serverly hurt in those late rounds.

I have no idea how Mr. 305 will react to that.

Mayweather v Alvarez:

Firstly - this won't be an exciting fight.

Two reasons why I think this.
a) Floyd is no longer capable of putting on virtuoso performances.
b) Canelo is young, fresh, fast and strong and is a thinker. Floyd will have to stink the joint out much like he did against Baldomir.
b) They have Garcia Matthysse on the under card. Call me sceptical but I think this is for a reason.

Matthysse has looked brilliant this year and is a genuine sicko puncher. He'll win. Although I wouldn't be shocked if Garcia beats him, he's clearly dangerous on the counter, but I also wouldn't be shocked if Matthysse sparked him in 1. Great fight.

Canelo is gonna win a controversial decision. There's gonna be bedlam about this result, the backlash will make Beltran-Burns look timid, with the majority scoring it for Floyd. Canelo doesn't have to beat Floyd, he just needs to nick a few rounds and make it look competitive. It's time for a new Vegas star.

Its one of those nights you get two or three times a year, good card quality fighters lots of hype and emotion about.

My heart wants Mayweather to loose just to hear what excuses come out and to see if he could give Canelo his props, I admire Floyds skills I have only really seen a couple of fighters in that same bracket in my life time. My Head says that Mayweather will win very close rounds landing a couple more punches here and there, Canelo will box well have a few of moments but just wont be able to land enough often enough to do the damage needed for Floyd to leave the openings to be taken advantage of.

The Lucas, Danny fight is real 50/50 for me my heart wants Lucas as I like his Style and think he has been shafted a couple of times but Garcia seems to always find a way, his Dad spouts a lot of crap and I would love it to see Daddys face after he gets battered into submission. All in all lets hope we see two competitive fights with a nice bit of action.

Canelo wont be the new star untill he learns to speak a bit of english.

Theres so much money involved in the mayweather name that loosing on the scorecard just wont happen.

Then again, oscar might have bribed the judges and used the rehab thing as an excuse when it all kicks off.
