Not to mention Matthyse ran the fight very close in spite of one eye being closed, you're acting as if that outcome was easy to predict. Was he even a considerable favourite to beat Garcia in the books:confused:. Those two were very evenly matched and I'd love to see a rematch down the line.

If you really bet on Gonzales over Mares I'm sure there were some nice odds on that one.

I completely agree. Take away the eye issue and I see Matthysse winning that fight. How many times did the referee have to tell Garcia to stop punching low before he took the point? And how about giving him to get his mouth piece in after it was knocked out? He also held whenever Matthysse got within range.

Definitely. None of that is the fault of Garcia in any way mind you, and he did show some gears I wasn't sure he had, as well as a wicked chin. To act as if that fight was predictable is a flat out laugh though, both men fought their assess off and things went Garcias way. If they did it again I certainly wouldn't bet on it, not that I ever bet;D

When they went mental in the final seconds even Garica's dad looked horrified ;D
