George Groves, Adam Booth Have Decided To Part Ways - Boxing News
This close to the biggest fight in his career has George already conceded further advantage to the dragon or could it actually benefit him to pick up some more traditional coaching tips from somebody more old school ? I am thinking somebody like the Jimmy Tibbs.
I can't imagine changing trainers while a fight build up is already underway could ever help anyone in theory, maybe Booth was just spending all his time with Haye though:confused:. I guess there is still a full 2 months before the fight, and I don't think Booth is a good trainer in the first place so hard to know.
Its either yet another pointless wind up n the world of boxing rumours or its genuine.
Booth has said simply "true" when asked about it today.
I have a feeling its just bullshit for Carl to feed on however it got to him.
IF its true then Groves is in a bad place right now. Although like I said, ill believe it when I see it so to speak.
Lets not forget all the bullshit in the lead up to the Haye Maccaranelli fight about Haye being weight drained.

Why would this bother Froch? Obviously if true it's a massive blow for Groves, he's been with Booth/Haye since the start of his career.

So what little chance Groves had of winning is gone unless froch got seriously injured in the dancing.
I think it was likely that Booth was realistic about his chances and the game plan needed for the fight. Groves likely thought something else and they fell out.
Wouldn't surprise me to see them kiss and make up
