Great matchup really, perfect clash of styles. I don't think Santa Cruz can be in a boring fight right now, but this is a really stern test for him.
This has Foty contender written all over it.
Damn!! This is awesome. Santa Cruz should be given a medal for again defining the meaning of "fighting Champion" and taking on all comers!
Either his last fight last year or his first fight this year Santa Cruz fought a mover and looked terrible. This might be a bit too early to fight Moreno. Golden Boy obviously don't think so though.
GB is assuming Moreno is on the slide. They might be correct. Good fight though.
Moreno just turned down this fight because he's obligated to face Koki Kameda.. Can't blame him though. These Japanese promoters pay top dollars. He would probably make as much, if not more, by fighting Kameda and it's a fight he'll most likely win..
If there were any justice that would leave the door wide open for Rigo-Santa Cruz, but of course that won't happen. What kind of fighter is Kameda I've only heard of him. His loss to Pongsawhatever legit/worth watching?
If there's one fight GBP and Top Rank should make with their rivalry put aside, it's definitely Rigo-Cruz.. It would be an injustice to the sport if two of the best fighters in the division can't fight .Quote:
