Looks like Vera is gonna get his rematch, everyone with half a brain (obviously that alone rules out VD and Finito) can see that Vera was the clear winner, and now despite Jr's claims that he wasn't gonna rematch Vera cause he "clearly won" it seems that there is going to be a rematch due to the fact that no one had Jr winning the fight

Even though I'd rather see Jr fight somebody his own size and get spanked, Vera deserves the payday here. Sadly Chavez can probably win legitimately if he trains for a rematch, I'm sure the weight will be about the same after all.

Why would he be pissed when he's going to be a ppv headliner and make big money.. on top of that, he can now take time to make weight properly so its really a win win situation.
Vera aint getting lucky this time cuz chavez isnt going to be drained..

Goodness gracious, man oh man, are you saying he didn't have time to make weight the first time?
He 'lost' the first fight because he did not want to train.
He took alot shit from the fans, media and even had to pay a fine as a result so he's going to be better prepared next time is what im saying...
It's about effective aggression and clean punching and Vera didnt show much of it.. even with few punches thrown, the fighter who lands the cleaner, damaging blows get the nod..

drained? really? lol the fucker should be at HW then cause he came in at about 190 the night of the fight, and still then couldn't manage to do shit against a Jr Middleweight, you would have thought that the bitch would have learned about training properly after the humiliating ass whooping he took against Martinez but no, Chavez sales have been dwindling seeing how ticket sales for the Vera fight were poor, so doubt that this makes it to PPV, he'll miss weight and will have to pay a fine AGAIN, cause Vera isn't gonna go to light heavyweight again, and Chavez will get torn apart by the media AGAIN if he tries to make him do so
lets be honest, this rematch is only gonna happen because Arum is now trying to cover his own ass because he took as much fire as Jr did, and deservedly so, Arum is doing damage control, cause when it comes down to it he'll always cover his own ass before he does his fighters
the fact that Jr now is gonna have 5 fights against former Contender show participants and the fact that he's already had to rematch 2 of them says everything you need to know about this guy hahaha, at least when Canelo fought Gomez (although a ballooned version) he beat him without the need of a rematch

Agreed, although Chavez is slow to learn his lesson. You would think he will do everything he can not to blow this one. Perhaps Chavez thought his power would be enough to stop Vera so he didn't bother training hard or maybe he is just lazy. Either way it is good to see Vera get another shot, very good.

there's no maybe about it, this isn't the first time that the silver spoon prick has demonstrated that he's a lazy little fuck, Roach has said it, and there's the almighty living room training sessions for the Martinez fight, don't be shocked if he does the same stunt again next time out, and again, just the mere fact that he needs to fight a guy like Vera again to actually win the fight doesn't do anything good for the coddled little bitch that is Jr

How much is the penalty going to be for failing to make weight if they make this fight? Even if it's serious money Junior probably won't bother. I don't see the fight being any different to the last one. Hopefully Vera boxes smarter, moves his head out of the way of a few shots he took last time and gets a fair decision.
The bottom line with Chavez is that Arum can't risk putting him in against anybody good above 160 so this rematch will almost certainly happen.
