Scott Quigg in action this weekend, Joshua debuts.
It's good to see Quigg back in the ring because he's a very exciting boxer who's impressed me when he's in the ring. I've not seen or heard of the guy who he is fighting but he's never lost as a pro and had a 301-16 amateur record. So he's going to be a decent test for Quigg but if Quigg wants to mix it at the top level he needs strong challenges like this one. As I said before I've not seen who he's fighting so I can't pass comment. But no doubt it will be a great fight!
Anthony Joshua makes his debut on the same card against somebody who's 8-0. Not bad for a debut but no doubt will be a punching bag. It's good to see another British heavyweight start his career and there will be attention on him after getting a gold from not having too much amateur experience. I wish him well and I'll be following his career!

Yet another horribly one sided card for matchroom. All the "good" matchroom fighters are heavily odds on. I would love if Quigg got sparked

i might sound crazy but i think walsh has a shot at selby
one worry for him is he doesnt punch hard enough but he is a very good boxer, arguably better all round skills than selby
apparently selby is much bigger tho

I'll be fully supporting Quigg but after watching Salinas earlier in the week and seeing his amatuer experience I backed him @5/1. Then I found out he was over here with Golden Boy's matchmaker, Robert Diaz, so I backed him again by KO @8/1.
Selby is definitely much taller than Walsh.

how confident are you with your bets?
i put a fiver on bradley marquez being a draw
im pretty confident with that

The more confident I am the more dough I put on which means it's a virtual certainty that the complete opposite will happen. My dough can/does get anything beat.

Absolutely no chance in hell Quigg gets sparked.
That should help.

That or we've stumbled on a winning formula. Your money one way, my backing the other, cast iron nailed on draw every time.

Hold up, you're the jammiest round picker in history. I'm pretty sure the only time you've failed a correct round prediction was the week I bet on them.
I'm deffo the biggest boc ever.

You are both curses. Memphis' specialty is Tennis. Fenster covers everything else.

I don't think Joshua has the stuff. But he is young.
Re: Scott Quigg in action this weekend, Joshua debuts.
I would have wanted Joshua to stay one and half, maybe two years in the amateurs. Win a few more medals, see some more diverse opposition. The Chemistry Cup, European Games and World Championships are good testing grounds. It would not have hurt.

Really? Quigg is a great rounded boxer with ambition. He is a dedicated and consummate professional who is respectful of all his opponents. He is not a swell head like Frampton and is far less one dimensional. Quiggs punch selection is spot on and his combinations are quality, I am enjoying watching his career unfold.
I just dont like the way hes been ducking Frampton. No doubt he is good and fun to watch but I just love it when fighters who duck a big domestic clash that they could make good money on and then get sparked before making any cash and throwing their demands in that domestic clash out the window
