Burns-Crawford in January at MSG...says Arum
Would burns even leave Scotland? He's been wanting to rematch beltran.. what a way to duck a slick black fighter.

i think that burns is an overachiever. he has never impressed me, yet has somehow stayed on top (kind of) for a while. he just hasnt had to fight anybody that great though. crawford would easily win.

Considering his limitations, I do agree that Burns is an overachiever although he's got some gifts in his career over soft oppositions. He had a chance to face Broner as a mandatory but ducked him twice..
And yep, Crawford would dominate him and knock em out.. Burns loves to come forward so I can definitely see Crawford knocking him out..

Have you seen Ricky Burns fight? More often than not he boxes at range from the back foot. He'll stand and trade but he never comes forward. He also has a fairly decent chin so I don't see Crawford knocking him out at all. I really don't understand why everyone seems to be pulling themselves off watching Crawford, to me he isn't that great. I think people are actually listening to Arum when they say he'd beat the shit outta Broner. Broner would starch Crawford, and the only reason Arum brings it up as he knows there is 0 chance of the fight happening.
Re: Burns-Crawford in January at MSG...says Arum
Beltran deserves the shot first or at least deserves to take on the winner.

which gifts has he got?
are you sure it was burns ducking broner?

If it goes to purse bids it'll be interesting to see which of Arum or Hearn puts up the money to get the fight at home.

did you not just see his last fight?! surely you didn't have Burns winning...but yea Beltran deserves a rematch or the winner between Burns/Crawford
Re: Burns-Crawford in January at MSG...says Arum
I wasn't that impressed with Crawford. Seems like he doesn't let his hands go. Actually, I've only seen him fight once so I should probably shut up.

he's a good prospect, good boxing ability, quick hands, good movement, but IMO he was just a bit too intimidated by Klimov's 0, if he would have let his hand go he would have stopped him after the 8th, but yea Crawford using smart aggression beats the shit out of Burns, too fast, too smart

There is little doubt that the Burns camp avoided Broner on two occasions. Now imo Ricky fights anybody if it was his call but as you know that's rarely how its done.
This would be a good fight but its certainly not a forgone conclusion and nether is the venue as @Kirkland Laing pointed out. In addition Crawford is getting way to much hype here. Its definitely winnable for Burns.
