He refused to fight his mandatory within the time frame he was given.

I think it's shit that you are given a mandatory as soon as you've won a title.
Should be allowed a voluntary defence first.

Yeah he should had an optional defense unless he took the title from a champ and inherited the mandatory. That never happened in this case but the IBF does that a lot. Not sure why they did not just say that in the report.
