Stevenson says Hopkins will fight him if they both win !!

Both have tough fights but I'm more confident Hopkins beats Murat at the weekend. Stevenson has a tough task against Bellew, and he shouldn't overlook him at all. He's hungry and miles better than Cloud. If Stevenson does beat Bellew then he should fight B hop. I've got a feeling HBO might want Stevenson-Kovalev next and that would be a great fight. But I'd prefer the winner of Stevenson-Bellew to fight B hop then take on Kovalev. This will sort out who's the best at 175.

I dont see bellew as a tough task for stevenson.. easy fight.

Besides kovalev-hops, id love to see stevenson-hopkins. Style wise, I believe stevenson will be tougher for hops..

5 years ago Hopkins would have handed Adonis his ass. Kovalev and Stevenson will stay clear of each other until it cannot be avoided which is not that far away considering this composting division. Hopkins at this point is still a spoiler but nowhere near what he was even 2 years ago. He's trying to hard to match Archie Moore and may go out on his back which will be sad. I hope some super mids move up over the next year or so.

I pray with every fiber of my twisted inner self that Stevenson - Kovalev happens! Have only seen Bellew twice but if Stevenson approaches smart and sharp like last out he should get clear win. Hopkins at this point cannot afford to overlook just getting out of bed let alone a guy being looked at as a formality...I get the feeling Hop is doing just that. Its been years since he went in with a 'tune up' type on paper, and Ornelus caught him with many clean right hands and gave him pause for a sec before it was over. True story ;D

I keep thinking of Hopkins vs Hakkar way back and how he was raked over the coals facing a 'mandatory'. Merchant basically vomitted on air and got in his face after. Hopkins needs to blow the doors off this kid...not just beat up and keep in check on a leash, Lt. heavys are live now and he needs to step beyond his comfort zone and send him out before the final bell.
