Boxing News | Carl Froch eyes both Gennady Golovkin and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr
i think that a froch vs GGG fight would be pretty awesome. i would love to see it and im sure both would be more than willing to make the fight.
the only reason i want to see the chavez fight is because i hate chavez and there is no way that froch isnt going to wreck him.
It's ice cream or dog shit as far as I'm concerned. Golovkin would be a superfight, Chavez Jr Id rather see rematch Vera at 168 than fight Froch.
Frock is a proven top class fighter. He should be the favorite against either.
Pissed me off in Ring magazine recently where they listed several potential fights for GGG n listed him as a near 2-1 favorite against Froch.
I've come around to liking n believing in Golovkin at 160 NOT any higher.
Froch would beat him like he did Abraham.
Man, when I first read that I thought I've been wanting him to fight both of those guys. I want him to put Chavez away and to be the litmus test for Golovkin. I think he goes after Chavez first for the money which he should. He'll beat Chavez up and probably crack that chin if Chavez doesn't learn how to move better. But Golovkin/Froch is a worthy PPV. That is my most wished for fight of any 2 boxers. I really am unsure where to go with this one. I see a convincing one sided fight for both guys. I really want to see questions answered for Golovkin against the top level and this is probably the best possible test out there. I am really interested in seeing what people think of this fight and how they think it will go. Golovkin has to carry his power up to 168 or he will get overwhelmed and probably lose a clear decision. Even though Golovkin can actually box well I think Froch just makes it too rough for anyone outside of an elite boxer to outclass him. But if Golovkin really does hit like they say he does and he carries it up to 168 then Froch may be in trouble. And I'm talking about KO trouble. Golovkin is very calculated and precise with placing those power bombs. He might be the best in boxing at placing the huge shots. And Froch is easy to find. So if his power is all like they say then I see something like a brutal stoppage right before the championship rounds. Lets hope they both take of business for this to still be on the table.

Either of those fights would be fantastic. Both good comeback fights for Froch after Groves has ironed him out.

I want to see a Chavez Jr./Quillin matchup, quite frankly. But a Froch and Chavez Jr. fight would do some good.
It would:
1. Show us if whether or not Froch is still the guy to put away the trash and the lightly used;
2. Show us if whether or not Chavez Jr. can rise to the occasion in the way his father did over and over and over again; and
3. Give us something to look forward to, either way the cat jumps.
I am thinking that a fight between Chavez Jr. and Froch would set either one up for something much more lucrative down the line. So, it would be a good time filler to that next step.
