Groves deserved another 20 seconds. For real. If he didn't respond after 20 seconds, then end it. He was getting hit and was being damaged. But, he deserved 20 extra seconds- maybe a standing 8.
That stoppage was wrong but wtf you don't go by time you go by what's happening, twenty seconds could kill a dudeQuote:

The announcers were terrible on the stream i had to watch. As fecking stupid as you can get. Froch never landed a punch by the way they were talking.
he was hurt but not ready to go just yet.....also take note that two judges had it 115/116...they would have looked to have Froch win.

Stopped in a world title fight while having not been down once, and while still throwing punches......
Groves just ended Carl Frochs career.
That stoppage was absolute bullshit. I can't believe they did that to Groves after the performance he had put in.
Anyone who drops Froch as heavily as that in the first round and then boxes his head off for the rest of the fight deserves the benefit of the doubt when he gets hurt.
What a fight though, they've got to do it again.
I have to say that Froch looked old and slow in there tonight, but as usual his unbelievable toughness got him through it somehow. I really don't fancy Froch's chances in a rematch and there's every chance he could be knocked out. That fight has probably finished him.

Froch was on his way to a knockdown... from what I saw... so it still would be a 10-12 second time for Groves to gather himself if he could, and then about another 8 to 10 seconds to see if Froch had the finish and if Groves was REALLY out of it.
Groves earned that 20 seconds. He did.
That was a proper Man vs Boy conversation that they had at the end.
In fact Carl even managed to boy the crowd off too.

Froch was hitting him a lot cleaner and more than I thought originally, and Groves was hurt. That was a very quick hook, though.
