It's Froch that's been robbed!
Let's be honest, it was a distinct possibility that had the ref not stopped the fight when he did that Groves may have been stopped in that round or the next. That's not to say it was a certainty, it's just a real possibility - and to me a Froch win by stoppage looked the most likely outcome at the time the ref stepped in.
Froch is not in the habit of letting people off the hook whilst hurt. I would argue that the ref robbed Froch of the opportunity to post a 100% legitimate KO, which given the manner of the 1st round knockdown would be up there with his best wins. As it is, he's booed out of the ring and Groves gets all the plaudits. Who's really been robbed here?

Speculation on what could have, would have, might have happened is irrelevant. A bad stoppage is a bad stoppage, it begin and ends there.
Re: It's Froch that's been robbed!
its my opinion that groves was robbed of the ko
only 30 seconds before the end froch looked on his way from a jab
one more right hand it would have been lights out

A lot of anti froch people think groves had froch down and out in the 9th round so what does that say!
Iv been honest as to what was likely to happen.
Groves covered up tight and on the ropes and was running before the ref was there
You are BSing again. I am hardly anti-Froch I just say what I saw. You are so emotionally invested in Froch that you are virtually the dictionary definition of a casual fan. It does not matter what you just think because you see a spade and call it a JCB.

a lot of anti groves people think froch was gonna knock him out anyway
i personally like both fighters, i have been a massive fan of froch over the last 10 years and ive really enjoyed groves rise
on saturday night froch was getting beaten up, he seemed to be coming back into the fight but was still shipping a lot of punishment
knowing his history he may well have come on strong in the last 3 rounds and could even have forced a stoppage
i also think there was just as much, if not more chance of him being KOed himself tho
its a pity the refereree robbed us of those last 3 rounds, it would have been very interesting and exciting

But he wasn't, watch it again.
Groves threw 4-5 punches and was fighting back as the ref jumped him.
Explain to me nicely what groves was up to when he turned his back without tripping and was running towards a ref he could see because he wasn't dazed and before the ref was paid to suplex him?? And what was froch doing chasing groves to his next destination?
Just looking for those answers
those things didnt happen :)

I mean, it was gonna be over shortly after Groves was wobbled. But it still was a little bit too soon.

Maybe, maybe not. But it's also possible that Groves could have held on and survived the round, then came back composed enough to get back his strategy in the next round. We can never know now.
Re: It's Froch that's been robbed!
The ref robbed everyone! Bad stoppage. Froch may have got the KO, Groves may have recovered & gone on to win. F*ckin ref robbed us all of what could have been a great finish!
Re: It's Froch that's been robbed!
Froch received a huge gift again, this time from the ref. There is no way he’s the victim here.
