Showtime's Drama " BROTHERHOOD ".. IrishMob better than Boardwalk... 2nd to Sopranos

I mentioned how Boardwalk Empire was the second best Mob drama after Soprano but I totally forgot about this darkhorse, BROTHERHOOD on Showtime that sadly ended after 3rd season..

If you want to watch something very dark and without any humour, Brotherhood is for you.. Alot of critics compare and criticized that this drama was a Sopranos ripoff but I assure you, it's nothing like the Sopranos.. Depends on one's taste, some might prefer a more serious Brotherhood than Sopranos. The story is so complex and compelling, there is not a good soul in the story. Everybody is up to no good but the best part is that it's very very very dark... Im reliving the episodes and i fuckin love it!! It's better than Boardwalk Empire straight up but still just a little shy of surpassing The Sopranos for its lack of longevity..

Synopsis:

Set in an Irish neighbourhood in Providence, the series reflects around two brothers on opposite sides of the law: one a gangster (Jason Isaacs) and the other a politician (Jason Clarke).

Ive tried out The Wire but stopped after few episodes.. despite the raving reviews, I found it quite boring tbh..

Im interested in the black donellys though but seems like not many people have seen it... is it dark?

No it is not dark, but it is very good.
