What number did the first Froch Groves fight do? I'd imagine a rematch would sell more but probably not by a lot. I think sadly Beanflicker is right, outside of Floyd and Manny it's only Canelo who could do anywhere near a million and that's only against another marquee opponent like Cotto or Martinez.

I don't know. As far as I know, over the last ten years no PPV has sold 1 million or more without the name Mayweather, De La Hoya, or Pacquiao on the bill. I don't think Froch or Groves are on that kind of level.

Right you are. No fight has even come terribly close without one of those 3 names on it. Martinez vs Chavez Jr is the only one even listed in the last decade and that didn't even do 500,000:-\

Will be interesting to see what kind of numbers Alvarez can do in his next big fight, he'd never broken half a million before Mayweather and getting schooled might hurt his chances of being in that ballpark again soon.

Yeah me too there were alot of non boxing fans talking about this fight and there was only 1 Ricky Hatton who seemed to bring half of England with him when the fight happened.. Maybe the dud that was The World Awaits left a sour taste in peoples mouth.

Lewis vs Wlad - Besides Cotto and Alvarez there really are no big names to draw numbers hence if Lewis said he would come back I think it would sell. Sorry but it was tougher then I thought.

I read online that frch groves 1 got 300k ppvs - I can see that doubleing but on second thoughts would think thripling would be unlikely
