Boxing event/development of the year!
Hi guys,
It's the end of the year. A good time to post your memorable moment of the 2013 campaign. Boxing news and events that shaped/will shape the next year.
The event of the year for me has to be the Broner loss to Maidana. This will surely shape up the Welter division and bring clarity when issues were going to be complicated if he remained and campaigned.
It kinda shook me and it shook the world. Some people believed to a certain degree that, while he wasn't the best of the best, he could put up a run for 2013 and end up in mega-fights with other notable names. All of this has changed.
A second event/development of the 2013 year was the Money Mayweather Showtime deal. The BIGGEST news of the 2013 campaign.
Any other items, large or small, do you feel we missed and would like to share?
Cheers...

Arum going to China is genuinely BRILLIANT. I don't know why so many are against this whole thing but it's genius.
Yes you need to put up with some crap, Zou, but then you also get some brilliant stuff such as Viloria v Estrada, Ishimoto v WV2, Samor v Tso and Tomiyama v Servania. The fact the next show will be the first chance the US audience have to see Murata should be applauded as well.
Sure Arum is doing it because he sees the big bucks and I understand folk being cynical about that but it's a chance for the American audience to finally see some genuine Asian talent and THAT should be applauded.

i liked seeing alexander lose
i think there are too many fighters considered top level who rely heavily on holding tactics, alexander being one of the major names
Im not so sure im happy broner lost, I like there being the "untouchable" types around, he's a dick outside the ring but his boxing style isnt dislikeable
the fight/event of the year for me was groves froch and everything that has gone with it, the build up, a cracking fight, the stoppage, the british public opinion swaying so far in the opposite direction

Donaire losing to Rigo was surprising for me.
