Roy Jones Jr. defeats Benmakhlouf [VIDEO]

44-year-old former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (57-8, 40 KO’s) easily defeated the much bigger French fighter Benmakhlouf (17-4-1, 8 KO’s) by a 12 round unanimous decision to capture the vacant WBU cruiserweight title on Saturday night at the Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia.
The final judges scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 118-111.
Roy Jones Jr knocked the 36-year-old Benmakhlouf down with a hard left hook in the 3rd round in a shot that sent Benmakhlouf in a delayed reaction.

I know people tend to forget about Roy jones jr, but I'm a huge fan of his craft and I love him, absolutely love him as a commentator on HBO. I like the Jim lampley , Roy jones, and max kellerman team up. I really hope he shocks the world with some big wins and ends his career on a high note. Good luck Roy and I'll always be a fan of you and show my sons how much better boxing is because of you..

I was happy to see Roy got a win and looked pretty good. I wish he would retire off this one.
