UKIP councillor blames flooding on Gay marriage

UKUNT councillor David Silvester has blamed the recent UK floods on the Tories decision to legalise Gay marriage.;D

This is part of the reason that the Immigrant thread annoyed me so. They are a right wing populist party campaigning on a negative agenda and are clearly full of loons. This is what the UKIP councillor said,

"The scriptures make it abundantly clear that a Christian nation that abandons its faith and acts contrary to the Gospel (and in naked breach of a coronation oath) will be beset by natural disasters such as storms, disease, pestilence and war." He added: "I wrote to David Cameron in April 2012 to warn him that disasters would accompany the passage of his same-sex marriage bill.

"But he went ahead despite a 600,000-signature petition by concerned Christians and more than half of his own parliamentary party saying that he should not do so.

He went on to say that no man, however powerful "can mess with Almighty God with impunity and get away with it".


This from a party clearly not adverse to spreading fear and using terms like "bongo bongo land". The fact that they describe themselves in the very first keyword sentence of their website as" Libertarian, non-racist party.." makes it quite clear what their real agenda is.They are clearly not Libertarian if their concept of individual liberty is not extended to all individuals and the idea that someone would have to declare themselves as non-racist smacks of desperation, like the person who claims " I'm not racist some of my best friends are black" not realising that they have just revealed the fact that they often are. I met a lot of coppers who said the same thing and they were nearly all closet racists.

I am not equating a concern on immigration or membership of the European Union as being racist but a party whose sole existence is centred on not partaking and spreading dis-information is not really a great place to go and be informed.

UKIP are a right wing nutty party that should not be taken seriously.

How they can claim to be the UK's third biggest party but have members come out with such shit is beyond me. Their main problem is that because they want to run candidates in every seat in every election it gets to the point where they pretty much allow anyone to run for them.

After hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans people said the same thing; the irony was, that about the only part of the city not affected badly was the Red light district;D Couldn't make that up.

These lot are Euro hating Tory's, I am not against the EU but more needs to be done to put poor
country's on a good economic footing, the point's I make about emigration are if you move the
poor around they still romaine poor.
The EU needs theses country's to have, good economies good housing, jobs , health care , and

All those dry, dusty drought ridden countries in the world should just legalise gay marriage. Hey presto, they will get loads of rain.

I wonder who should tell Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iran, Yemen etc that a different God has the answer, and that actually gays are their salvation?
