Kovalev vs Stevenson being sought by Hbo
Robust Dan reported it first at Espn but its now appearing in the Quebec press. The timing seems right because unless the super mids start to move up both these guys will have ran out of opponents. Hops in there as a spoiler and the winner of his fight with Shumenov leaves a small chance for an undisputed champion. I think the market and lack of major cash fights may be forcing this which is a good thing.

I don't know why but I want to see Adonis lose. I liked when he beat Dawson but I dislike him more each time I see him. I guess that will keep me watching his fights. Strange how that happens with some fighters.

Would love to see this fight, I'd back Kovalev personally. Do you think there's any chance of these guys moving up a weight class? The top guys in their division seem to be way out in front of a lot of the challengers

Same here. He has a conviction for pimping, which means he's obviously scum, but I think it's mostly because his name is Adonis. Fuck him and whoever named him:D
I actually think Kovalev is much better than he is anyways and would win that fight in style.

A very good matchup. Something is strange about Kovalev. He literally breathes on his opponent and their legs go a flutter. I am sensing that he is in some way violating the rules of physics.

They both have serious power but I think Kovalev is the better boxer. I think this fight turns into a war and Kovalev sparks him.

Kovalev has my respect for beating the young hungry undefeated was to be future super star Nathan Cleverly.

Stevenson moves well for a big puncher, but he really has no right hand to speak of, like none at all. I think he's probably flattered himself as far as his skills go against Cloud and Bellew, he wouldn't be able to back peddle and pick his spots like that against Kovalev or Hopkins imo.
Still don't understand why people think Hopkins has a better chance against Kovalev for that matter, a southpaw who looks for single shots is stylistically lunch for him.
