Gonzalez looked spectacular last night
Flyweight debut against a tough/game opponent in Mexico. The guy is unreal. Even in the middle of the first couple of rounds melee his pin point accuracy was unbelievable along with his selection. His face, expressionless. Even his sportsmanship is genuine and world class just like his hero Alexis Arguello.
It appears he may be going to Japan in April to fight on the Yaegashi undercard. Another reason to admire him. He will go anywhere. He's Akiris number one contender and could have waited to travel there. Just a class act all around.

Gonzalez impressed me so much more than Lomachenko as a prospect.
He's a very special fighter.

It is bullshit he isn't on consensus P4P lists purely because of his weightclass. I think he needs a Viloria fight or even a Zou Shiming fight to take him to a wider audience, but can't see Arum allowing that to happen. The Estrada rematch is the one we want most though.
